Coron: Listen to Momma, cuz Momma Knows Best

Coron is one of the places that is at the bottom of my bucket list. But since, everybody's going to Coron and they might make a movie titled CORON (eg. Baler, Camiguin, Panaghoy sa Suba   <--this is almost saying Come to Bohol) then, I might as well go and see for myself.

But Momma, being the kontrabida  mother that she is, has yet again warned me not to go to Coron.

Why?

Momma said: Wag ka na pumunta puro dagat lang makikita mo!!!

Pero, Momma, kilala mo ako! Mana ako sayo! Mapipigilan mo ako maglakwatsa, pero ang mga paa ko, hindi ! I <3 you Mother!

shot 10,000 ft above sea level. I told Goqs to shoot this island cuz someday, this  QC gal will own it. Talk about  Munting Pangarap!
Hindi prepared si James.
Parang cut and paste lang
Para may Picture si Goqs. taken at Banana Island. Can you see the borderline?? Where the aquablue and darkblue waters divide?

Of course, this is not a FUN trip without the Jump Shots. Jump.shot.is.a.must.

Paul doing cartwheels. Fail yan. haha!
This was after a round of Dodgeball. It was super fun and super tiring! Some of us, including me had my share of buhangin. Literally, I ate the sand while playing dodgeball. Now, whose idea was it anyway???

Borderline. We looked like castaways.
What's with the borderline? It's what separates the aqua blue water from the dark blue water meaning pag nasa dark blue ka na, -biglang lalim na dun.

James, Faye, Paul and I were swimming without our vests on then we dared each other to swim into the dark blue water. I dunno but it was super funny and scary. ADIK lang talaga kami!

Momma said: Wag kang aakyat dun sa mataas and puro bato, malamok dun. Wala ka rin makikita pag akyat mo!!!

Pero, Momma, tingnan mo, kay gandah ng kapaligiran...!!!

Kayangan Lake. Kay ganda! The waters are clear,  mini club in the cave. Yes, Mini- CLUB!
View from the TOP
Sampaloc Beach where we had lunch. We fed bananas to Crazy monkeys

shot in Barracuda? Kayangan or Twin Lagoon? I dont remember.

Enjoy : Twin Lagoon:

At Barracuda???
Twins at Twin Lagoon: Cold on the surface, lukewarm below. Eyelhuvv!

All in all, Momma isn't always right.
(though, the trip would not be as enjoyable for Thunders as it was for us, Bagets. If you get what I mean)

I'm glad I'm travelling with these fun people. Because most of the time, the trip is not fun without fun company.

All is Well

I finally had the chance to watch this DVD movie Jammy lent me days ago, 3 Idiots - an indian comedy film.

Yes, Keekoykool, Welcome to Bollywood.

When I think of Bollywood films, I think of  clownsy fancy comedy, full blast props and set, traditional Indian clothing - is a must and of course, lots and lots of choreographed dancing and singing.

So Yes, check, check check and a big check! They were all present.

But I never expected that this will make it to MY LIST of feel good movies.

I swear on Bikram, (Yes, the Bikram Yoga, is the only "Bumbay" celebrity I know, well aside from Sushmita Sen)  that this movie is A MUST SEE movie. It has a great message for the society especially to the young generations of today.

"All is well." is the main dialogue that is used through out the film and it tells the audience that in every uncertainty, one should not panic nor give up, that the heart is easily deceived and that one should be optimistic. <-- stuff like that.

Bonifacio Day, Today.

Just  a sec ago, before typing the title of this entry, I googled November 30.

I asked, "Why again are we on Holiday today?"

Ah, yes of course, Today is Bonifacio Day. Time well spent, actually.

Anyway, met with Jaja and Mikey at the Port which drove Mikey crazy because of the multinational hotties he has seen coming down from the Destroyer - by Destroyer, I meant the navy ship.

He was actually creating a scene in his mind on how he'll meet his TRUE LOVE.
F-U-N-N-Y

Speaking of True Love, Mikey and I  watched the new Sarah-Gerald movie at Glorietta.
(Yes, the main theme was TRUE LOVE, cheesy but it really is.)

Reminds me of my favorite romcom when I was just 15-  The three part : Radio Romance where Gelli de Belen played a DJ
It was a Hum-Hum movie, I still like their first movie better ... and the one with John Lloyd.

After trips to F21 (Thank you Mikey for being patient), We then headed to Bonifacio High Street (not because it's Bonifacio Day haha KORNY!) but for Mikey's daily dose of Jamba Juice. He is a Jambaddict! <--- I made this up and no, di ako pauso.

Strawberry and Banana Berry smoothies with antioxidant!

Mikey has been telling me about Jamba the whole day and so when I took a sip, naumay kagad ang lola mo! Hahaha

But, Yes, it is refreshing. In the words of Mikey, "TRUE!"

Insert Keeks Here.

It's only Thursday but I feel like I've already exhausted all energy from all the client calls and booboos since Monday.
I'm not complaining though cuz it's a good thing.  I mean the client calls and of course the lessons learned from those tech defs.

Come saturday, Carshow event. (Mental note: bring own foldable chair, wear comfy flats.)

BTW, had a short meeting a while ago with a British CEO... yes, what is nosebleed. Love the office. Love the sofa. Love the lounge. Must be nice to work in a top advertising agency.

Anyhoo, What makes me stress free amidst all that jazz is the thought of a getaway which is coming soon!

Havent filed for leave though... But I deserve this. xoxo
Aaaah...calm lagoon and the sounds of the birds and the wind.

Floating Boat <3

Reminds me of that dangerous "Indiana Jones-ish" footbridge we had to cross going to the Underground River in Palawan. This is nice though and looks "vacationy"
as my niece Bea would say, "CHAIRS!* read: CHEERS!
I have a picture of this in Bohol with my old friendship, Ang mabyondang lolah  ni Watashi, James.

Same with above, but the pic above is better. Haha
taken in Bohol with James

I'm so excited, and i just cant hide it... I know I know I know, I dont know the lyrics.

Aba aba, akalain mo....

Why, hello, if it isnt the contrata we made some 48 years ago... (read: two years ago, which is 2009)

Luk Yuen Glorietta 5. circa 2009

Back then, we were planning an ultimate water adventure at White Water Rafting and the Mapawa River Trek Extreme in CDO and the longest zipline in Bukidnon

The contract says that we have to do all the activities or else we pledge something.

Pledge:
Mel : 1 month salary
(as she earns bigger than the rest of us)

Keeks: my laptop with my Rocketdog artist special edition gelaskin (which I had it shipped from Canada)

and my Pure white O2 Atom special edition (which my Dad had Smart shipped from abroad thus me waiting for it for two months. Back then, O2 was the IPHONE. Ngayon, sa libreng phone nalang ako)

James: his new Canon camera
(siya at si Goqs lang ang may magandang camera sa amin.)

Goqs: Civic Honda and SLR
(Hahahaha, pati kotse pinledge. Anubayan!)

Oh well. just so you know, the 02 and the laptop arent working anymore. Ondoy took them away.
and,
We did all the extreme activities.

My gahd, malakas lakas pa ako non and medyo fit ng onti cuz I used to climb stairs and footbridges everyday, and had to walk like several meters to commute.

in the words of my Auntie, "How now?"

Psychedelic Furs

I've always wanted to have a fur coat... (as Din would say, the  "far" coat <-- some pronunciation deficiency hahaha) but like Ugg boots, they are of no use here in third world Manille.

Stumbled on style.com just now and I just love how these fur collections look... just imagine how it feels to cuddle in them...

Ooh lala take me back to  the 20's!

The Art of Touring In Style

No, this aint an entry on what stuff to bring when travelling.. (maybe I'll do that one of these days...)

Attended an event of Rajah Travel Corporations a while ago at the Manila Polo Club,
actually, I was so caught up in getting leads and "take home" production that I forgot what the event was all about...

Travelling.

They have this insight vacations: the Art of Travelling with Style: packages. EUROTRIP!

To tell you the truth, I wasn't listening because,
1. I was hunting for my prey
2. My feet hurt like hell
3. I was pretty sure it will cost me an arm (and a leg)
4. My friend went there with the regular Eurotrip (no package tour whatsoever)and spent less than 3,000 bucks! and lastly, did i mention...
5. my feet hurt like hell.

Anyhoo, I'm actually consciously and unconsiously saving money for this trip in 2013  2014.
Flash me images of these, then I'd go beserk.

Cobblestones. Yes, mababaw lang ako. I want to walk these cobblestone streets and eat gelato.

Yes. I want parisian dining, al fresco under the Tuscan sun. Gimme some tea and french patisserieee!
It would be a high if i could ride trains with views like these. (Also, I dream to ride a train going to Transylvannia-ish feel...creepy and exciting at the same time.)

Tinataga ko sa BATO! I will go to Salzberg Austria, twirl and sing at the Alps like my IDOL Froilan Maria  in the Trapp Family Singers! <The hills are alive..with the sound of music...>
I wanna toss coins in fountains of half naked men, women and children!  Okay, creepy na. pervert-ish pa!

Im no fan of arts, museum, sculptures and what have you's. I've been to Paul Getty Museum before and they were buildings and buildings of paintings, artifacts, sculptures and all that artistic french jazz, but I got bored. It would be impolite of me if I tell our host to just drop me at the nearest Walmart.

BUT Oh well, it's Europe, you're supposed to feel like you're in the set of the Clash of Titans or the Victorian Era/

By the way, checked the website of Rajah Travels http://www.rajahtravel.com/insightvacations/insighteurope.html
lo and behold, their Eurotrip starts at $2,250.

NOT BAD!
