Yog-YOGA na!

KeekoyKool hopped on the bandwagon and enlisted herself in Bikram Yoga at Eastwood City.
(Parang status lang sa facebook! Pwes, LIKE!)

I learned about this Bikram Yoga through my friend and fellow blogger ..and Fitness Guru (Yessss..) Candice of mahaderangfrog.blogspot.com

Candice with her winning pose. Siya naa! courtesy of mahaderangfrog.blogspot.com

I mean, Candice stays fit with all the lunch outs at Stackers, Sbarro and caramel sundae at Mcdo, not to mention the daily servings of either Starbucks Frappe or Serenitea. Plus, heller baler!  she already has Miatots, her lil' kid !!  (Ok, compliment overdose... haha!)
So, hmmm... it must be the power of YOGA! Say it again with feelings, YO-GA!

So after weeks and weeks of nagging encouraging me to do Yoga, I finally agreed.

Below are Candice's thoughts on Yoga (again, taken from her blogpost): Highlighted ones are mine.

I honestly will tell everyone to try Bikram at least once in their lives. Here are the benefits:
  1. You will never sweat as much as this ever in your life. Places that you never knew could sweat, can sweat! -TRUE! Close friends know that I don't sweat much. But this time around, I've sweat like a kilikili of a "mabango" na construction worker under pressure!!! Yess. Like that! minus the odor.
  1. 90 minutes for 1 session. Usually you jog 30 minutes and you bore yourself out. Imagine doing 2 yoga sessions in a week. That's like 180 minutes. If you're smart you'll figure out that that's like equivalent to 6 (boring) jogging sessions. If you become a Yoga Nazi, 4 or 5 times a week! (Ikaw nalang magcompute ilang hours. It's late. I don't want to compute.) - Jogging bores me too that's why I always end up doing two laps, that is after stalking Gerald Anderson's house. (stalking Gerald, not the house.) And our subd is usually windy so I don't feel like I'm exercising because i don't sweat much.
  1. You can do alot of flexible stuff that your nephews and nieces will be amazed with. Para kang clown. - My nieces and nephews are mababaw. They will love you forever  if you dance to the music of Michael Jackson and the Biebs.
  1. How can this be number 4?! You can eat anything and not get fat. If you have discipline (which I don't), you can actually lose weight and have a sexy body! - I would have to try like 3-4 times of yoga a week.
  1. After you get out of the room, even if you were lying down the whole time, you can say, "Hell yeah! I've done that!". It's such a sense of accomplishment and it really is. = TRUE again. Masabi lang nakapag-yoga! Haha, Seriously, I enjoyed doing it even though I was nauseaous nauseas nauseatic  nahihilo towards the end.
(Sorry, everything is numbered 1. Mahirap mag-edit.)

So there you go, YOGA na!
I'll have to throw away my Lazy bones and maximize that P700 unli yoga for a week.

When was the last time you did something for the First Time?? Ooh lala Puerto Princesa!

First of all, ANG HABA NG TITLE!!!

Anyways Hiways,

This was a post from long time ago... I'm re-posting it, just because.
(Ok Fine, Faye, Palawan is a-must-go-to!, But still, we need to go to Coron! so please please, pretty please... lezz go and book the tickets!)

First time snorkeling.

Amazing beaches in Palawan. Taken by Goqs and Poy. Mabuhay kayo!
Prior to Palawan, I have been to Bora and Bohol but I was a loser not to try snorkeling. I especially like the Snake Island (the left most picture), its a long walk to get to the tail-end, but it's worth it!

First time seeing a starfish (haha!) and a Crocodile as Big as Kebs, maybe even bigger!

First time seeing vegetable, animal, houses and what-have-you's Rock Formations!
and oh, even Jesus rock formation! Yes!- like SM, we've got it all for you!

entrance to the underground cave

The very weary and very long mountain hike/trekking to the underground cave was unimaginable!
which leads me to...

First time walking/ trekking like we're in the Bataan Death March!!!
hence...
First time feeling like I was in some kind of near Cardiac Arrest.

We walked and trekked and hiked and crossed the tides for three straight hours! Three freakin' hours!
(that inlcudes the dangers of malaria, tripping and slipping that may lead to instant death, or total body cast; dehydration and all that jazz.)

Apparently, some alien guest from the hotel we're staying at, told Goqs that we dont need to ride a boat going from the shore to the underground cave. It will just take 30 minutes to get there if we trek.
Oh kay!! Can do!!! That is, IF WE ARE THE JUSTICE FRIENDS!

But no, we aint the Justice Friends... we're just muggles with no super powers.

After a series of life threatening obstacles- like the Old, delapitated narrow footbridge we crossed and constant sighs of relief "I-thank-you-God-I'm-still-alive", we got to the underground river with a small boat.

It was really quiet inside the cave and I was afraid to make noise and open my mouth because the bats might poop inside it. Eeeww for the thought. The water is cold and  refreshing, I was touching it while the bangka was gliding onto it, then quickly put my hands inside the bangka when I thought of Mother...

Mother: "Achie, always keep your hands inside the boat, there might be a crocodile in the cave."

Ok. that's a kill-joy!

the Hills are alive, with the sound of Music!!! Froilan Maria meets Mary Poppins here!

Palawan was one helluva' trip! Too many funny pictures to post!
Just remember,
Bring lots of water and never  use MAC makeup (you will look like Michael Jackson's Wax! Believe me! or you can ask Mels) if you're going to trek to the underground river Entrance.
or better yet, just pay the freakin' boat ride!

I am very sorry for the disturbing mongoloid images. Please scroll down quickly as this might scare you or haunt you  in your dreams. forever.

So, when was the last time you did something for the first time?
