My Binondo Siomai

Hello there!

My friend Gelo asked me to write a review on his siomai. <Pause>
(Why does this statement sounds funny?)

He said that they are or they are like  those of Gloria Maris', our family's favorite restaurant.
Actually, I forgot what the Gloria Maris' siomai tastes like.
But, Gelo's siomai is A in rating.
Plus, its very affordable. P230 for 40 pieces of Siomai. Not bad! and it comes with a packet of chilli sauce!
Yummers!

Even without him saying, I will promote his new TV series...

My Binondo Girl
airing every night at Primetime Bida ABS CBN

Because Cecile wants Water Rafting, Cecile gets it!

Hello there, Ces and baby Anya, you know this is for you.

P.S. I think you haven't answered my question if your daughter Anya is named after Anya Hindmarch? Anyways Hiways,

I posted this entry more than a year ago at my old blog site.. Time flies when you're having fun, or making a baby. Haha! That is a joke, and that joke is for you.

So read along and, You and I, lets pretend this was just some months ago.

TIME SPACE WARP, NGAYON DIN!!!
nooninooninooninooninoo....

Boy am I glad to have lived in a place where the magestic views, the cool and refreshing waters are accessible, affordable, attainable and readily available! SOUNDS LIKE A GENERIC DRUG AD to me!

Mels and that Dog-eat-Dog face.

Its been months now from our trip at Cagayan - White Water Rafting and I'm missing it. Everytime I remember CAGAYAN, there's a smile on my face, a song in my heart and a spring on my footstep!
(Shyet! I feel like I'm Dorothy of Oz!!! )

Ako yung tanga na nahulog. The current wasnt evven that strong. I was naiinip already so I jumped in!

I've dreamt of rafting for years and the next thing I know, I'm in a red orange rubber boat with a paddle on my hand saying 1-2-1-2-1-2! Ive always thought that rafting is difficult and is only tried by people who are adventurous PROs, but man, Keekoy Kool aint doing things like rafting or rappeling or jumping from a high place - just like in Mapawa Nature Park! (<-- This Ces, you have to try! its also situated in CDO! I actually have a separate entry for this one! at my old blog nga lang...)

 All taken at Mapawa:
ride at the tractor up the hill Farmville style, river trekking, 10ft  rock slide, 5 stage zipline, 75 ft rappel along the waterfalls, 35ft jump along the waterfalls, body rappell, and all that jazzz

This is just a preview Ces. You have to try them yourself!
Kaya go go go!

Also, when in CDO, you have to go to Camiguin, they have all kinds of springs, Hot, Cold, Soda (yes, that's right! but I wont recommend you drink from it.).

and its time for a jump shot!

The beach is classic. Nothing really that special compared to Bohol or Palawan.

I like the falls here. Plus the water is too cold! <3

They also have Church Ruins, Sunken cemetery and We trekked yet again , all thirteen stations of the Cross. Very timely since I remember its nearing Holy Week already during that time.

By the way, I'm not sure if Travel Factor has this. Pero let's sign up at Travelfactor - they have surfing, beach bumming chuva, adventure ek-ek and other shenanigans before Anya goes to school (harhar!)

Call me. Mwahks!

Shokot Review

Watched Zombadings: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington  a couple of days ago with the gang...

and I must say...

I am excited because my two favorite actors of all time are in one comedy movie.

Grew up watching Roderick Paulate's films and its a high watching them again on CinemaOne and PBO. Eugene Domingo aka Kimmy Dora, so funny, I love her to death!

Mart Escudero ( Remington) is adorable. Bonggabelles ang acting!  It was easy watching him act as a gay dude.

Marian Rivera had a cameo and I'm glad it was a very short one (with short lines) !

By the way, Swagged a poster. Thanks to Marvin! Mundang got the reusable Zombading bag that I want !! and He wouldnt give it up for me... Just so you know, Mundang's also a Vakler. That's why.

Sagada Adventure by S&P rating (yes, you read it right.)

* S&P credit rating or the Standard and Poor's Rating is S&P's opinion on the general creditworthiness of an obligor with respect to a particular debt. Still at a lost?? it's investments chuva y'all. (Yes, I can! Haters to the left, to the left!) Working in a bank makes you insane! Here it goes..

Signed up at Travel Factor for only Php 4,800
Rating: A

I would've rated it AA for affordability, if only for the bad weather. I thought it would've been better if it was to resched but then again, it would be a majer hassle. I'll give AA for the TF Guide's efforts.

The Long trip plus the Bus
Rating: BB
It wasn't Florida as I have expected. It was an Autobus (It sounds like Autobots but its not. Boo!) The trip to Sagada took us 15 hours. The trip back was 9 hours. You can imagine my fez - and its not a pretty sight. AAA for the riding experience at the jeepney back to Banawe TopLoad Style.

Alibama Inn (its amenities and all that jazz)
Rating: BB

Ok. I blame the weather again. No heater. It was a struggle to take a bath. For 2 days, there was no electricity! The food was ok. When it started to rain, it really pours hence the flood on the first floor.

The Travel Factor Friends we met
Rating: AAA
There you go! the highest score. We were divided into two groups. The ones staying at Alibama and the ones at Churyaa. The Alibama peeps are on the same "wave length" or age gap maybe that's why it was super easy making friends with them. Mostly couples though. AAA for AJ and Edge (TF guides) for the sound judgement on who will go/ live with who.

Foodtrip
Yoghurt House: Rating: AA

The pastas - Creamy Carbonara and Roasted Eggplant with Basil are to die for! the yoghurt - surprisingly was good too!

Coop Lemon Pie: Rating: C
Lemon pie at Coop (and probably, Lemon Pie House's as well) - I dont like! In fairness to the pie, the others loved it. I forgot I never liked fruit pies.

Trekking at ____
(I forgot the place where there are hanging coffins, churches, cemetery, Honestly, I wasn't paying attention the whole time!)
Rating: BBB
(L-R) Toni, Keeks,Jayme,Goqs and Edge

It was raining hard. Most of us don't have umbrellas with us, and even if we do, it wasn't very helpful at all. My trusty pink Crocs that I always bring with me whenever I trek has failed me this time. I slipped during one of the muddy treks, It looked like I just sh*t  hell in my shorts. It ain't funny at all. Actually, I thought it was VERY dangerous. But then again, its a day in the life of an adventurer wannabe.

Spelunking at the Caves
Rating: A
Team Alibama at Lumiang Cave. Shot by your trusty photographer, the adventure man himself, Victor Ayson

Again, it would've been an AAA rating. Blame the weather y'all! The cave connection was impassable because of raging waters brought by the typhoon. So we finished only half of the whole connection. The guides are AAA in rating. They're really good. Good as in they-jog-their-way-down-the-caves- good! Like a walk in the park! Special mention to Idol! Mang Erwin who looked like a smaller and younger version of Mike Tyson. (yes, I cant help to tell him that!) I on the other hand was really really careful, the slippery rocks can lead to instant death!  It's a total body cast waiting to happen-- the least!

Shot at Sumaguing cave with the Engineering peeps and Idol! (credits again for Victor)
*Now I am forced to post this pic if not for Idol! as i am channelling Chapsie here with the closed eyes!*

Breaks In Between
(since most of the itinerary weren't followed, we had a lot of breaks in between)
Card Game: Rating: AAA
This was the funniest as we were just warming up. *Do you know the card game: Hi Jack! Good Morning Queen and the stuff you do when THAT card comes out?*
When Jme joined, all hell break lose. Hahahaha

We played again during the last night... and this time, I think we have crossed over ...
We decided to interchange the whole mechanics. Twas really funny and was laughing my ass off QUIETLY because everyone was asleep already so we moved at the hallway... and then suddenly, the main door's door knob started moving like someone was trying to get in. I was the BRAVE one who opened the door only to find NO ONE but the dark rainy picture of outside. I immediately shut the door and locked it. Oh well. continued playing the cards again. No time for scaredy cats.

Charades and Pinoy henyo during "Socials" Night Day 1
Rating: AAA
Maybe our guide Edge was really sorry for us he bought alcohol to compensate with the failed itinerary.
Ok compensation APPROVED!

When we were at the Bus and the jeep to Sagada, I think Goqs and I were the only noisy people around, only to find out during the first night- that Hell No, these people we're sharing the inn with are insane Mongoloids! There was this couple Toni and Noli (who by the way are getting married next year) who are more crazier than I am! (more na, crazier pa! redundant much. well then, that explains.) Nakahanap ako ng Katapat! I go blank whenever they tease me ... so unlike me!!!
Anyway, Played charades and pinoy henyo.  Talk about our Daily Huddles at the 14th floor!

Hmmm still waiting to be tagged at the pictures.
